Documents
Documents to prepare before we start
You do not need everything on day one. Send what you have and we tell you what is missing and where to find it.

First contact
What to tell us when you first get in touch
This is what lets us assess the scope accurately.
Last updated September 2026
- What the business does and what it sells
- The entity type: limited company, partnership or sole trader
- Approximate documents per month, such as purchase and sales bills
- Whether the business is registered for VAT
- Number of staff, and whether it is registered with Social Security
- Last year’s financial statements, if any
Monthly
Documents for monthly accounting
Sent on the schedule we agree. We check them before posting every time.

- Withholding tax certificates, both received and issued
- Payroll and social security records, if you have staff
- Documents for assets bought or sold, such as vehicles or equipment
Changing firm
Documents when moving from another accounting firm
Get these from the previous firm before we start, so the books do not have to be started again.
- Last year’s filed financial statements
- Returns filed so far this year, with the Revenue Department receipts
- The trial balance or account detail to the last closed period
- The asset register and depreciation schedule
- VAT reports and the outstanding receivables and payables
- Data files from the previous accounting software, if any
- Login details for online filing with the Revenue Department and Social Security
Registration
Information for company registration
The list varies with the business. We confirm the details after we talk.
- The company name you want (have two or three options ready)
- The registered office address
- Shareholders and directors, with copies of their ID cards
- Registered capital and the objectives of the business
- Shareholders verify their identity online themselves at the filing step
Every business is a little different
These are the documents usually needed, not a fixed list. After the first conversation we tell you exactly what applies to your business, and we advise on preparing documents the way the Revenue Department expects.
Have some of these already? Send them over
Send them through the form or on LINE. We review them and tell you what else is needed before assessing the scope and fee.
